Roanoke-Chowan Community College Careers MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of an active, unrestricted license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina; a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a faculty member in a Board-approved nursing program; must possess clinical nursing experience and have served as a faculty member in a nursing program.

A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate in a health science discipline, curriculum and instruction, or a related field. Experience in directing a Practical Nursing program is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role entails overseeing the college's health sciences programs and managing the Practical Nursing program. The position reports directly to the Dean of Transfer and Health Sciences.

The individual will take primary responsibility for the development, implementation, and enhancement of curricula/programs within the division, which includes engaging in presentations, networking, and collaboration within the service area and beyond; providing administrative and academic leadership and supervision within the division; ensuring the division's instructional mission is upheld; coordinating the scheduling process and submitting the finalized schedule; managing program assessment and improvement processes; ensuring proper documentation of outcomes and participating in the institutional effectiveness process; overseeing the health sciences budget; prioritizing equipment needs; evaluating both full-time and part-time faculty; supporting the professional development and growth of division members; orienting new faculty; maintaining current licensure as mandated by NCBON; participating in college service, including committee work; and teaching classes or leading special projects as directed by the VP of Instruction and Student Services.

SALARY:
Compensation will be commensurate with educational background and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, paid annual and sick leave, and participation in the State of North Carolina Benefits Program.
