About the Role
The Payroll Coordinator Lead plays a crucial role in processing bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees in the United States and semi-monthly in Canada using UKG. Key responsibilities include accurate completion of regular payroll tasks, responding to employee inquiries, generating standard and customized reports, and assisting with state and local tax compliance. This position will report directly to the Sr Manager, Global Payroll and be based in our Columbus, OH office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Sr Manager, Global Payroll to ensure timely processing of US and Canada payroll.
  • Respond to employees' questions and maintain payroll inbox.
  • Support Federal, State, and Local tax compliance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.
  • Develop system processes and user guidelines for managers' review.
  • Generate and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports.
  • Lead Payroll orientation for all new hires.
  • Maintain Payroll's electronic files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration related field or 2-4 years of professional experience in a Payroll Coordinator role.
  • Proficient/Advanced Knowledge of Word and Excel, including use of formulas.
  • Ability to balance task priorities, special requests, and employee inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with UKG or other full-service HRIS systems desired.
  • Maintain a strict code of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and process improvement oriented.
