About the Role:

As an Assistant Project Manager at Jobot, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in coordinating and managing all pre-construction and construction-related activities for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the entire project team with daily coordination tasks.
  • Travel to various project locations, with up to 50% of your time spent on the road.
  • Assist the Project Manager in communicating expectations and directions to subcontractors and team members regarding schedules, construction methods, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Procure necessary construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Regularly review and update progress reports, schedules, and completion requirements to assist the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project sites are secure and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in project estimation and pre-construction activities.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Accounting team for monthly financial draws.
  • Review and verify payment applications on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain the Procore project site, including managing submittals, RFIs, change requests, and other documentation.
  • Ensure all drawing updates are communicated promptly to relevant teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project engineering, coordination, or management within multifamily construction.
  • Familiarity with residential or commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling software and Procore construction management software.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule based on project needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
  • Physical capability to perform site inspections, including walking properties and climbing stairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build confidence with owners and developers for future project opportunities.
  • Willingness to adapt to departmental needs and changes.
