    • Develop and maintain process documentation for financial systems and processes.
  • Financial Analysis and Budgeting
    • Analyze and monitor financial activities, expenditures, and budgets to ensure compliance with County policies and procedures.
    • Assist departments with the development and preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Compliance and Auditing
    • Ensure compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements and Single Audit requirements.
    • Prepare and review financial reports, including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Single Audit Report.
  • Internal Controls and Security
    • Define, implement, audit, and monitor internal controls to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and minimize the risk of fraud.
    • Oversee internal controls and security of assets, reconciliations, reviews, approvals, authorizations, and verifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or related area.
  • Oracle, public sector, fund accounting, and software implementation experience preferred.
