Duration: 11 Month W2 Contract

Location: Fully Remote

Hours: 9-5 EST would be preferred; some flexibility is required due to the global nature of the project

Pay: $34-$42/hour depending on experience

The Impact You'll Make in this Role:
  • As a Travel Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the development of a best-in-class travel program for healthcare professionals.
  • You will assess the current travel program and implement changes that align with the strategic goals and priorities of the Medical Surgical business.
  • You will participate in the development and drafting of travel rules (policy) for individual healthcare professionals and group travel in collaboration with Global Travel & Expense, Sourcing, Legal, and Health Care Compliance.
  • You will identify and apply best practices globally, with the ability to customize for specific geographical considerations.
  • You will support the management of third-party travel provider accounts and relationships.
  • You will negotiate travel contracts with air, rail, hotel, and ground transportation service providers.
  • You will lead the implementation of new processes and procedures, as well as changes to existing ones.
  • You will monitor service levels, compliance with policy, and vendor alignment with terms of agreement with Sourcing to drive accountability.
  • You will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting criteria to monitor healthcare professional travel and general industry trends, customer satisfaction, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • You will drive the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction for the business.
  • You will manage internal and external customer satisfaction, addressing disputes and problems to find appropriate solutions.
  • You will implement measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • You will monitor internal compliance with healthcare professional travel policy.
  • You will draft effective internal messages and tools to communicate useful information to key stakeholders.
  • You may develop and maintain an internal healthcare professional travel management website.
  • You will participate in cross-functional projects and activities in event management that intersect with healthcare professional travel management.
  • You will provide subject matter expertise to contribute to outcomes.
  • You will add value by identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and implementing efficient and effective solutions.
  • You will participate in future vendor selection processes when going out to bid for healthcare professional travel services.
Your Skills and Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree (completed and verified prior to start)
  • 3 years of experience managing a corporate travel program in the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device)
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of business travel industry and corporate travel operations.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as travel management technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing a corporate travel program.
  • Experience managing travel across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Fluent bilingual oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Health Care Compliance practices pertaining to interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with Cvent event management technology.
