Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Quail Park Memory Care Residences of Visalia. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and ambulation, as specified in residents' individual service plans.
  • Engagement and Socialization: Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization while providing personal care assistance.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, and social condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete all forms to include but not limited to incident reports, and written and computerized documentation, as necessary for communication of resident information with other members of the Resident Care Team and with the licensed nurses, Executive Director.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Make resident beds, empties apartment trash, and tidies resident apartment daily and as needed or requested. Turn down resident beds in the evening if requested. Changes resident linens and towels according to community laundry schedule, and as needed or as requested.
Requirements
  • CNA Certification: Current CNA license, or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other team members.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

  • Competitive Hourly Wage: Starting salary range: $17.07 an hour.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Opportunities for full-time and part-time schedules, including NOC shifts and on-call positions.
