Job Summary:

The Medication Technician provides direct resident care and medication services in a supportive and dignified environment. This role requires a strong commitment to resident well-being and a focus on delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and assist residents with self-administration as directed by physicians and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Process physician orders and maintain accurate records of medication services provided.
  • Coordinate with pharmacies for medication orders and refills.
  • Report medication errors and changes in resident condition to the Health Services Director and other relevant staff.
  • Provide direct resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Assist with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers, and coordinate personal care services with coworkers.
  • Perform First Aid and initiate emergency response procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred.
  • State required medication pass certification or other required certification.
  • Current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
