As an essential member of our front-of-house team, you will serve as a communication and seating specialist, ensuring that every guest's expectations are met and that their experience is a memorable one. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will enable you to engage with guests and promote the AEG brand effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ready for your shift in the appropriate uniform.

• Safeguard the business and guests by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

• Welcome and greet guests warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.

• Acquire knowledge of the menu, seating arrangements, restaurant history, policies, and management.

• Inform guests about daily specials and any changes to the menu.

• Make genuine recommendations based on your understanding of guests' preferences.

• Address inquiries regarding our food, beverages, and other restaurant services.

• Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly and safely when required.

• Complete side work at the beginning, during, and end of each shift as assigned.

• Maintain cleanliness in all areas at all times.

• Respond quickly and courteously to any guest requests.

• Be prepared to assist fellow servers as needed.

• Help with clearing and resetting tables as required.

• Thank guests for their visit and encourage them to return.

• Be available to fill in as necessary to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, as directed by management.

• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
This role represents the company in addressing complaints, mediating disputes, or resolving issues. As a Host/Hostess, you will be expected to engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction, taking initiative and creativity in resolving challenges while involving a supervisor only when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in a serving role is advantageous.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Demonstrates excellent customer service abilities.

• Works effectively within a team setting.

• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of dining room operations and service procedures is essential.

• Exhibits strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and guests efficiently.

• Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety regulations is crucial.

• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and distances.
  • Must be able to kneel and stoop as required by the job.
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
