Job Description and Duties

The Department of FISCal seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Chief of Client Training Section. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating existing training curriculum, user productivity kits, and training materials to ensure they reflect the latest system features and enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience in procurements, grants management, and customer contracts. They will work closely with subject matter experts across system modules to define the training service catalogue, develop and execute the cohort model, and provide ongoing training and support to the team.

The Chief of Client Training Section will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the FI$Cal system. They will work collaboratively with other FI$Cal teams and stakeholders to design and operate the system, including on-going training, workforce development, and support/coordination of various committees and vendors.

Working Conditions

The position is remote-centered with the flexibility of telework for three or more days per week. In-office attendance is mandatory on designated days. The office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, CA. Candidates residing outside of California are welcome to interview, but proof of California residency is required before appointment.

The position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and may require excess hours to be worked. The incumbent should be available to travel as needed and is expected to perform functions and duties under the guidance of the Department of FISCal's core values.
