Job Summary:
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is pursuing an opportunity for an Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to work in Tampa, Florida. This exciting role involves using your experience to help the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission.
This position emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge.
The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
Identify, assess, and document technical, operational, security, and financial risks related to program objectives.
Risk Evaluation and Mitigation:
Evaluate the likelihood and impact of risks on EDAT program deliverables and USSOCOM mission outcomes.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks, ensuring alignment with program goals and DoD standards.
Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create contingency plans for critical risk scenarios.
Continuously monitor risks and update the risk register, ensuring accurate tracking of risk status and mitigation progress.
Provide regular risk reports to program leadership and stakeholders, highlighting high-priority risks and recommended actions.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or master's degree with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Must possess a Top-Secret clearance.
Risk management certifications such as PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) or Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
Equivalent military or technical training in risk management or project management may be considered.
4-7 years of experience in risk management, project management, or a related role within government or enterprise programs.
Proven ability to assess, document, and monitor risks in dynamic, high-stakes environments.
Proficiency with risk management frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., risk matrices, risk registers).
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk scenarios and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey risk assessments and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and align risk management activities with program objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management certifications, such as PMP or SAFe Agilist, are advantageous.
Familiarity with USSOCOM's operational requirements, the SOF Information Environment (SIE), and DoD risk management practices.
Experience managing risks in DoD or government programs with strict compliance and security requirements.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and cloud environments to assess technical and security risks effectively.
Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or other risk management platforms.
Ability to analyze risk data and present insights to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
Experience developing dashboards and visualizations to track and communicate risk trends and mitigation progress.
Proven ability to lead risk workshops, mentor team members, and advocate for proactive risk management practices.
Experience fostering a risk-aware culture within cross-functional teams.
Based on national averages, this position offers a salary range of $68,900 - $124,550. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as education level, experience, and performance.
