About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lighting Groundperson to join our team at Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC. As a Lighting Groundperson, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of streetlights and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist linepersons from the ground by providing materials and maintaining a safe work area.
  • Excavate to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specifications.
  • Communicate with public and private property owners to inform them of work to be performed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to traffic and potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and concrete saws.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess knowledge of heavy equipment and be able to operate it safely.
  • Ability to follow directions, work safely and productively, and problem-solve in unfamiliar situations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and visualize job plans and prints.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
