Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from destinations, including operating rooms, patient rooms, and other hospital areas.
  • Accommodate patients with varying degrees of complexity, including those who require oxygen, isolation precautions, or other special needs.
  • Monitor and utilize the patient flow board to ensure efficient assignment of transportation tasks.
  • Perform defined safety protocols, including double identification, isolation procedures, and equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with patients, family members, physicians, peers, and leadership.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, and complete required education assignments annually.
  • Work towards achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
