Job Summary:
Covenant Health is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from various destinations within the hospital, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from destinations, including operating rooms, patient rooms, and other hospital areas.
- Accommodate patients with varying degrees of complexity, including those who require oxygen, isolation precautions, or other special needs.
- Monitor and utilize the patient flow board to ensure efficient assignment of transportation tasks.
- Perform defined safety protocols, including double identification, isolation procedures, and equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain open lines of communication with patients, family members, physicians, peers, and leadership.
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, and complete required education assignments annually.
- Work towards achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CPR certification required.
