Premier Health Systems Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

Premier Health is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our IT Operations Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, including servers, clusters, storage, and other data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement system and storage solutions that meet Premier Health's business needs.
  • Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, clusters, storage, and other data center infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure architects, vendors, and consultants to ensure maximum infrastructure reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Lead and participate in technology projects, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve Premier Health's IT infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including operating systems, Citrix, storage, and backups.
  • Experience with system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make technical decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and virtualized technologies.
  • Knowledge of Premier Health's IT policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to design and implement disaster recovery solutions.
