Job Summary:

We are seeking a Health Information Specialist to join our team at UW Health. As a key member of our clinical data management team, you will be responsible for collaborating with third-party vendors to efficiently request, retrieve, and scan medical records into our electronic medical record system. You will also respond promptly to telephone, email, and fax requests for medical information to support direct patient care needs. Additionally, you will review and index documents in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring accurate data entry and proper document sorting. Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with third-party vendors to request, retrieve, and scan medical records into the electronic medical record system
* Respond promptly to telephone, email, and fax requests for medical information to support direct patient care needs
* Review and index documents in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring accurate data entry and proper document sorting
* Engage in continuous process improvement activities and participate in departmental meetings to enhance team collaboration and workflow efficiency
