Position: Claims Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6+ months with possible extension
Training Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, with start times between 6am - 8am and 8am - 5:30pm for the first 5 weeks
Work Hours: Standard business hours
Pay rate: Competitive hourly rate on W2
Job Responsibilities:
- As a Claims Advocate, you will investigate, manage, and submit claims for compensation related to incidents involving the Uber app.
- Collaborate with third-party insurance partners to ensure timely routing and escalation of claims.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with complex inquiries and mentoring fellow team members.
- Review first reports of loss and supporting documentation to accurately identify insurance exposure and determine applicable policies.
- Utilize critical thinking skills while adhering to established claims processes.
- Apply existing knowledge to assist with higher complexity claims and insurance inquiries.
- Respond accurately to inquiries from carriers and other third parties.
- Exhibit customer-centric behavior and a solid understanding of insurance policies when communicating with all partners.
- Utilize strong written and electronic communication skills, with primary communication conducted electronically.
- Engage in minimal telephonic communication.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of US auto claims coverages
- 2+ years of experience in auto claims management or 1+ year in bodily injury adjusting
- Proficiency with various computer operating systems
