Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team at the Department of Energy. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for managing and implementing IT projects, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff and stakeholders
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, including network and data security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service
  • Experience managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Experience providing technical guidance and support to IT staff and stakeholders
  • Experience ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems, including network and data security
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL certification
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience with IT service management tools and technologies
