Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our global Control Systems practice. As a project leader, you'll be responsible for delivering full-service control systems solutions to clients across multiple industries and market sectors. Your expertise in building management systems, automation, and controls will be instrumental in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead control systems design teams to produce deliverable packages for concurrent projects, including writing and editing instrumentation and controls specifications, selecting instrumentation, and developing sequence of operations.
  • Coordinate the work of control system engineers with multidisciplinary teams throughout a project's design development and construction, including power coordination, panel locations, remote equipment monitoring, integration to 3rd party systems, networking, and device locations.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule, and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure completion within budget.
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document working sessions with clients, establish and maintain client relationships, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
  • Act as a mentor for junior staff members, provide Quality Control (QC) reviews of control system designs, and report project status, performance, and quality updates to the Control Systems Section Manager.

  • Develop your skillset to serve as a Project Manager on control systems projects with responsibility to lead multidiscipline teams to achieve project objectives, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Control Systems related field.
  • PE required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing BMS systems.
  • Network design experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable of control systems and sequence of operations for building systems, including Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical/Power Monitoring, Lighting, etc.
  • Must be knowledgeable of multiple communication platforms and protocols, including but not limited to BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, Ethernet-I/P.
  • Must be knowledgeable of cybersecurity considerations in control systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable of network, PLC or DDC hardware and software, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software used in Building Management System applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Center experience a plus.
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
  • Direct Digital Control (DDC) programming and configuration a plus.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and configuration a plus.
  • HMI programming and configuration a plus.
  • Networking, IT, and communications experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Internet of Things (IoT) a plus.
