The Floor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining the high standards of our establishment. This position involves close collaboration with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to uphold our service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the management and front-of-house teams to ensure service operations are aligned with our guest experience goals.
  • Oversee daily operations on the floor, managing guest flow, table assignments, and service timing to maximize efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Train and mentor front-of-house staff, fostering a knowledgeable and motivated team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, as well as all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new front-of-house team members.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, especially during peak service times.
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant in a managerial capacity or similar role.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Restaurant Management Certification or a degree in a related field.
  • Experience in operations management and team development.
  • Proficiency in various technology systems, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and POS platforms.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Possession of a NYC Food Protection Certificate.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

  • Flexibility to adapt to job demands and complete various tasks as required.
  • Ability to operate necessary restaurant equipment.
  • Capacity to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work varied hours and days as business needs dictate.
