Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales and Design Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales and event design team, you will work closely with our team to produce top-notch events for a variety of social, non-profit, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Design and Implementation
    • Creative brainstorming and event conception
    • Creation of trend-forward décor options utilizing existing inventory
    • Execution of event décor plans, diagrams, photos, mock-ups, and storyboards
    • Development of creative event look/feel
    • Thorough documentation in database system of client orders and vision
  • Sales and Business Development
    • Proactively solicit and secure new business through a consultative sales approach, fostering long-term client relationships
    • Strategically leverage industry partnerships to enhance event design and production
    • Consistently maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve and surpass revenue targets
    • Ensure accurate tracking of sales opportunities within our CRM
    • Inside and outside sales functions
    • Actively creating and pursuing new opportunities for the organization
    • Venue relationship management
    • Phone and in-person consultations
    • Responding to customer inquiries, developing quotes and proposals
    • Trade show/Exhibit Staffing
    • Sales follow-up
    • Assistance in general company marketing efforts
    • Represent company and pursue new leads at networking functions
  • Event and Office Procedures
    • Participation in companywide efforts to streamline efforts and implement procedures
    • Learn and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and actively participate in new initiatives
    • Active participation in furthering company goals and company reputation
  • Event Operations
    • Lead key event installations
    • Ensure customer receives the event that they had envisioned
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of outside sales experience in events planning/production, catering services, or hotel sales/catering
  • Sales Success: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and year-over-year growth
  • CRM Expertise: Deep knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Hunter Mentality: Strong initiative and understanding of how to acquire new clients within target markets
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate and close deals across various budget levels
