The Surgical Services Unit Coordinator is responsible for performing essential receptionist and administrative tasks within patient care units. This role serves as the primary communication hub at the patient care station, ensuring smooth operations and effective information flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage initial order entries and maintain accurate administrative data entries within the Meditech computer system.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare staff and patients, facilitating communication and support.
Position Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience, with a strong ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.

- Previous experience in a nursing assistant or unit clerk role is preferred.
