Job Title: Program Coordinator I

Join the State of South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as a Program Coordinator I in the Eligibility, Enrollment, and Member Services (EEMS) Division. This role is responsible for conducting eligibility evaluations for the BabyNet program, promoting program awareness within the community, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct eligibility evaluations for the BabyNet program, including detailed interviews, history taking, observation, and assessment/evaluation.
  • Promote program awareness within the community through effective communication and outreach.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the BabyNet Educational records (BRIDGES and ONBASE) following current BabyNet procedures.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, and all federal and state laws regarding privacy, accountability, and reporting instances of lack of compliance properly and timely.
  • Participate in customer service and privacy training, and maintain a professional demeanor and communication style.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, Family and Consumer Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Human Services, or other closely related field.
  • One (1) year relevant program experience with children birth to five (5) years old.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, effective communication and organizational skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with inter and intra agency staff and public and private groups.
