Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Amplification Department as an Intern. As a key member of our team, you will assist in various tasks, including writing media alerts and pitches, media/press tracking, list curating, editor research, content brainstorming, coordinating press mailings, updating and compiling press and celebrity contact lists, supporting social media efforts, developing press kits and media clippings, and assisting in some administration work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in writing media alerts and pitches
  • Track media and press coverage
  • Curate lists of press and celebrity contacts
  • Conduct research on editors and publications
  • Brainstorm content ideas
  • Coordinate press mailings
  • Update and compile press and celebrity contact lists
  • Support social media efforts
  • Develop press kits and media clippings
  • Assist with administration tasks

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, dependable, and organized
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Strong Internet and social media research skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude and have a customer service approach at all times
  • Available to work a minimum of 2 days (9a.m. - 6p.m.) weekly from home
  • Previous internship experience or current communications/marketing/public relations major is a plus
  • Pursuing degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; recent grads welcome
