Transportation Electrification Director

About the Transportation Electrification Partnership
The Transportation Electrification Partnership (TEP) is a groundbreaking public-private partnership of over 25 members dedicated to accelerating transportation electrification and zero emissions goods movement throughout the Los Angeles region. Our goal is to reduce GHGs and air pollution by an additional 25% beyond existing commitments set for 2028.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Transportation Electrification Partnership, ensuring steady progress towards ambitious regional goals.
- Lead strategic goal setting, secure new corporate and public sector partners, and lead grant-writing to advance TEP initiatives.
- Plan and execute regular meetings and convenings of the Partnership, engaging partners in various initiatives, and crafting and shaping related policies.
- Oversee the implementation of specific research grants/projects, budgeting, and grant writing/management.
- Manage staff and consultants, subject matter expertise, and startup engagement, representing LACI and TEP externally.
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience, preferably in deploying innovation as a city staff member or with local governments.
- Strong project management skills, including assessing dependencies, managing details, adhering to deadlines, and following up on action items.
- Passionate about helping cities innovate to creatively and effectively deploy climate solutions.
- Ability to be flexible in approach and pivot when necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Demonstrates LACI's core values: catalytic, systemic, inclusive, and impact-oriented.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $88-109k, commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc.

- Must work onsite from LA office two to three days/week, with some travel required.
