We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment for patients with respiratory disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ABG punctures and administer pharmacological solutions as prescribed by physicians.
- Record patient vital signs, including breath sounds, ventilator status, mental status, and response to treatment.
- Identify patients and verify orders before administering treatment or respiratory care.
- Set ventilator parameters according to established patient protocols and physicians' orders.
- Assemble, disassemble, operate, and maintain equipment, troubleshoot, clean, and perform minor repairs.
- Educate patients on therapy and prescribed medications prior to discharge, documenting patient understanding.
- Complete billing paperwork and demonstrate timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Report safety-related incidents, attend safety training programs, and perform work in a safe manner.
- Associates Degree from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
- License by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners.
- Proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS certifications.
- NRP certification within 90 days of hire or providing care in special care nursery.
- Three years of acute care experience.
