We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory testing processes.

About the Role

This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company's computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing and/or the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter specimen information into the company's computer system
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the proper analytical area
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • High School diploma or equivalent may be required dependent on state regulatory requirements
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Additional related education and/or experience
