Position Overview:

Our mission is to safeguard children from abuse through coordinated investigations, healing services, and educational outreach within the community.

Role Summary:
The Bilingual Community Outreach Educator plays a crucial role in fostering awareness about child abuse prevention. This position focuses on equipping children with the knowledge to identify, resist, and report abusive situations. Additionally, the educator will extend prevention education to adults throughout the community, embodying the values and mission of the Alliance For Children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging educational programs, including P.S. It's My Body, NetSmartz, and Monique Burr Foundation training, to children and adolescents in various community settings.
  • Facilitate adult training sessions on child abuse prevention across Tarrant County.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to present educational programs in schools and youth organizations, coordinating schedules with relevant contacts.
  • Assist in organizing and implementing multidisciplinary team training for staff and partners.
  • Act as a representative of the Alliance For Children, promoting our mission and prevention education initiatives within the community.
  • Collaborate with the Outreach and Training Team to enhance the Child Abuse Prevention Campaign during designated awareness months.
  • Be open to new responsibilities as assigned by the Outreach and Training Supervisor or leadership team.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; some college or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance required for agency-related travel.
  • Two years of experience working with children is preferred.
  • Experience in public speaking is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Successful completion of annual criminal and civil background checks is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the mission of the Alliance For Children.
