Finance Operations Manager

We are collaborating with a prestigious nonprofit educational organization that is in search of a Finance Operations Manager. This position is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the institution, necessitating a leader capable of overseeing the finance team and guaranteeing the precision of financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee student tuition accounts and ensure that incoming payments are processed in accordance with established financial policies and procedures.

• Review accounts receivable aging reports and engage with parents when payments are overdue.

• Execute daily financial transactions, including verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of accounts receivable data.

• Reconcile accounts receivable to ensure all payments are accurately recorded and accounted for.

• Update vendor information in the accounting system, resolve discrepancies, and assist in addressing billing concerns.

• Aid the Controller in month-end and year-end closing processes, including postings, accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and conducting two annual audits.

• Generate and distribute monthly budget reports, assisting the CFO in budget monitoring and enforcing internal controls.

• Collaborate with the CFO in the formulation of the annual Preliminary and Final Budgets.

• Assist the CFO and HR Coordinator in developing salary and benefits budgets.

• Conduct ongoing financial analysis to inform policy decisions and update the Multi-Year Financial Plan.

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit educational environment.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and prioritizing tasks with exceptional organizational skills.

• Proficient in technology, with strong knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and ideally Blackbaud.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all organizational levels.

• Detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, and comfortable in a dynamic, high-volume environment where priorities may shift frequently.
