We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Implement and evaluate care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with anesthesia induction and prepare patients for local anesthesia
- Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
- Perform correct surgical preps and accurately document patient care
- Demonstrate competency in all surgical specialties and equipment
- Participate in staff and self-development, and assist with the orientation of new employees
- 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in the Operating Room
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – per SDH policy
St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a 368-bed acute care facility offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties. Our services include a nationally accredited oncology program, advanced trauma care, comprehensive cardiac, stroke, and orthopedic programs, full-service maternity and newborn care, and two full-service emergency centers.
