NOSC Tier 2 Infrastructure Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) Tier II Infrastructure Administrator to support a 24x7x365 enterprise operations center.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring network dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting escalated incidents, coordinating and reporting all operational information concerning the enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise for LAN, WAN, security, systems, and other technologies
  • Train junior NOSC analysts via knowledge transfer and creation of knowledge articles
  • Investigate and diagnose network and security incidents to restore failed services as quickly as possible
  • Lead root cause analyses and suggest resolutions for security and infrastructure problems
  • Support remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
  • Assess and implement Change Requests as needed in accordance with the Change Management process
  • Evaluate and escalate unresolved incidents to Tier III or vendor support to coordinate restoration of service and obtain the necessary information for recording/tracking the outage or degradation of service
  • Keep component NOC and SOC informed about their incident's status at agreed intervals and continuously update incidents as needed
  • Notify Government Leads and other stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree
  • At least 8 (eight) years of relevant experience including routing/switching experience
  • Previous experience configuring, troubleshooting, and problem management of network, security, system, and cloud resources
  • Possess one or more vendor certifications (network, security, system, or cloud)
  • Previous experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems

Certification Requirement:

Any one of more of the following vendor certifications from Juniper, Azure, AWS, CCNA, CCNP, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, F5, GCP, CISM, CISP, CEH
