Job Summary:

As a valued member of the Christus Health team, the Epic Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between system end-users, operational leaders, support resources, and vendors to design, build, and optimize healthcare applications. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Develop, test, document, implement, and support assigned healthcare applications and business processes to meet requirements
  • Collaborate across teams, propose solutions, and ensure quality and interoperability of healthcare systems
  • Understand customer needs, document processes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless healthcare operations
  • Analyze system issues, provide recommendations, and follow up with end users to resolve healthcare-related problems
  • Follow organization standards for system configuration and change control to maintain healthcare data integrity
  • Collaborate with end user communities and business partners to focus on best practice workflow processes in healthcare
  • Coordinate code changes with vendors and troubleshoot application issues to ensure optimal healthcare system performance
  • Provide technical knowledge of healthcare applications and serve as a liaison between business operations and IT to support healthcare initiatives
  • Ensure completion of projects within set timelines and contribute to the department's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or computer science
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare stakeholders
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare, business, or information systems, with a focus on healthcare applications and systems
  • Relevant certifications, such as Epic Systems certification, preferred

For Epic Analysts:

  • Must be certified or proficient in assigned Epic module, with a focus on healthcare applications
  • Keep certifications current by maintaining new version training to stay up-to-date with healthcare technology
