Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating complex production equipment, manufacturing software, and tools in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate complex production equipment, manufacturing software, and tools in a team environment.
  • Follow digital work instructions, blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to meet product specifications and tolerance levels.
  • Execute equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustained production.
  • Make necessary adjustments to equipment, provide continuous feedback for process improvement, and perform quality control and in-process production testing.
  • Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in continuous production/processing operations.
  • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production specifications.
  • Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Efficiently set up and operate a wide range of machine tools, including mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses, on diverse products with complex shapes and aerospace tolerances.
  • Align and secure tooling, holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Set up and modify programs for Robot and/or Vision Systems and write product-specific and robot programs by material master.
  • Modify programs in response to problems.
  • Work from and read blueprints, setting and checking work to various quality control gauges.
  • Troubleshoot operating errors, determine causes, and decide on corrective actions. Adjust programs in PLC to manipulate parts to specification.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries, and communications accurately and timely.
  • Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments.
