CNC Machine Operator

As a CNC Machine Operator at Aerotek, you will be responsible for operating complex production equipment and manufacturing software in a team environment. Your duties will include following digital work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to meet product specifications, performing equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, and making necessary adjustments to equipment and providing feedback for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate complex production equipment and manufacturing software
- Follow digital work instructions, blueprints, and schematics
- Perform equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment and provide feedback for process improvement
- Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production operation
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to ensure adherence to specifications
- Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Efficiently set up and operate a wide range of machine tools, including mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses
- Align and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials onto machines
- Set up and modify programs for Robot and/or Vision Systems
- Modify programs in response to problems
- Read blueprints and check work to various quality control gauges
- Troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors, adjusting programs as necessary
- Confer with engineering and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information
- Complete all necessary documentation and electronic data entries accurately and timely
- Move materials physically or mechanically to complete assignments
Requirements:
- Hard Skills: Operating complex production equipment, following blueprints and schematics, equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, setting up and operating machine tools, modifying and setting up programs for Robot/Vision Systems, reading blueprints and quality control gauges, troubleshooting and problem-solving, adjusting programs in PLC
- Soft Skills: Teamwork, attention to detail, technical communication, adaptability, time management
Job Type: This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site: This is a fully on-site position in LA VERGNE, Tennessee.
Work Environment: Non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment
