Job Title: Lead Automation Engineer

At Innova Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative automation solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex automation systems, including robotics, mechatronics, and control systems.
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of automation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our automation solutions.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on robotics, mechatronics, and control systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in programming languages, including C++, Python, and Visual Basic.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial automation protocols, including EtherNet/IP, Profibus, and DeviceNet.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering fundamentals, including power distribution, motor control, and safety considerations.
  • 10+ years of experience in safety protocols, including ISO standards, RIA 15.06, and OSHA requirements.
  • 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in motion control, including servo and stepper motor principles.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechatronics, including a combination of mechanical, electrical, and control system knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics fundamentals, including robot kinematics, dynamics, and programming.
  • 5+ years of experience in machine vision, including camera selection, image processing, and object recognition.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/HMI development, including designing and implementing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems and Human-Machine Interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in ME, EE, Automation, or Related Field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with conventional programming languages, including Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic, and others.
  • Cybersecurity awareness, including understanding of cybersecurity principles to implement secure communication protocols and protect control systems from cyberattacks.
  • Version control systems, including familiarity with Git to manage code changes and ensure project traceability.
  • Project management tools, including proficiency in project management software like MS Project or similar tools for efficient project planning and execution.
  • Data acquisition and analysis, including familiarity with data acquisition techniques and tools for analyzing sensor data and optimizing system performance.
  • Project documentation and report writing, including ability to create clear and concise technical documentation and reports for control system designs, troubleshooting procedures, and project deliverables.
  • Experience with B&R, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or other industrial PLC products.
  • Experience with Kuka, Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, or other industrial robotics products.
  • Experience with Cognex, Keyence, Basler, or other industrial vision products.
  • Some experience with 3D CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
  • Some experience utilizing Visual Components, or similar software for digital twin and offline programming.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range of $140k - $155k + annual bonus.
