We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team at Evertz Microsystems Limited. As a key member of our Technical Operations Centre, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance on complex broadcast video systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical advisor on complex broadcast projects, providing expert guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and availability of all broadcast hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage events and incidents, following established Incident and SLA guidelines, to ensure prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple support cases simultaneously, providing timely and effective communication to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of solution requirements, design specifications, and operational guidelines, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Represent the Technical Operations Centre and collaborate with peer departments and customers to deliver effective project outcomes.
- Develop and implement testing requirements to assess proposed designs and validate technology platforms or systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Document and maintain departmental and technical procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Requirements:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field, or equivalent broadcast experience.
- Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities, and to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problems-solving abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the capability to take initiative in problem-solving, and keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to relocate for on-site technical support, and preference for candidates with working knowledge of Evertz platforms.
