Job Summary:
The Sanitation Worker/Loader will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of cleaning and disinfecting of our growing food manufacturing operations located in Salem, New Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and proper handling of chemicals and sanitizers to ensure food safety and workspace cleanliness that will enable the facility to produce top-quality pizza products to our customers.
Primary Sanitation Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting of our growing manufacturing operations located in Salem, NH.
- Work efficiently with a team of Sanitation Workers to clean production equipment, machines, and work areas where food is processed on a daily basis.
- Responsible for the proper handling of chemicals and sanitizers.
- Efficiently operate sanitation cleaning equipment including, but not limited to: floor scrubbers, pallet jacks, pressure washers, water hoses, air hoses, hand tools, etc.
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment.
- Wash and sanitize equipment, while using proper cleaning chemicals and following the facility SSOP's at all times.
- Promote health and safety in the workplace.
- Ability to handle and work in a multi-temperature food industry environment.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Primary Loading Responsibilities:
- Acts as the back up Loader in the absence of the Primary Loader.
- Load customer orders into delivery trucks in proper sequence and according to freight bills.
- Responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation.
- Must be physically able to operate equipment such as Forklifts, Electric Pallet Jacks, etc.
- Move freight, stock, materials within storage, production, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
- Receive and disperse product merchandise or point of sale materials in accordance with assigned storage methods and handling procedures.
- Examine incoming and stored product and report any deterioration and or damage.
- May perform quality control of checker to ensure product being loaded into delivery truck matches customer invoices and picking order.
- Responsible for unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse space.
- Responsible for organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets.
- Cleans up and disposes boxes, material, and pallets, as well as housekeeping of facility and product line areas. Adheres to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.
- Ability to handle and work in a multi-temperature food industry environment, where the individual will be exposed to wet, hot, humid, and cold conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as sanitation rules, mixing chemicals and sanitation instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to operate machinery.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Extremely detailed and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation.
