Produce Specialist

As a Produce Specialist at Hansens IGA, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and experience in our produce department. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing produce area, while providing helpful and courteous service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic in your interactions.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all produce items, including fruits, vegetables, and bulk candy, to assist customers with their purchases.
Restock and replenish produce items as needed, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and facing current products.
Perform tasks such as cutting, wrapping, and labeling produce items, while adhering to sanitization practices and health regulations.
Clean the produce department regularly, including sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking shelves as needed.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
Honest, team-oriented individual with a good work ethic.
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds regularly, and stand for the duration of the work shift.
Willingness to work in a cooler that is 35 degrees Fahrenheit, occasionally.
