Job Summary:

MAB Community Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Counselor to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. As a member of our team, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and dynamic environment, fostering growth, and promoting independence.

About the Job:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while ensuring each individual's dignity and comfort.
  • Develop and implement personalized activity plans, incorporating the unique interests and abilities of each person.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Support individuals in acquiring essential life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and time management, while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Document and share success stories, achievements, and moments of triumph, highlighting the impact of our work on the lives of those we serve.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in a direct care role is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a genuine passion for helping others, are essential for this role.
  • The ability to think creatively, come up with innovative solutions, and adapt to changing needs and schedules is crucial.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to transport individuals, if required for the position, are necessary.
