Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Repair Specialist to join our team at Pella Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical problems in assigned areas, as well as providing support to other areas of the plant as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems in assigned areas
  • Schedule job orders and ensure timely completion
  • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures
  • Work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance duties and learn repetitive job tasks
  • Rotate to other positions as needed to support business needs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing-related experience preferred
  • Job-specific experience preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and other relevant technologies
Working Conditions
  • Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas
  • Safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as required
  • Seasonal high temperatures and humidity
  • High-paced work environment
  • Frequent handling of glass and other product materials
  • Frequent handling of power tools
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level on an occasional basis
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. at shoulder level and above head on an occasional basis
  • Push or pull with up to 80 lbs. of force on an occasional basis
  • Display average coordination with each hand on a continuous basis
  • Perform elevated work on an occasional basis
  • Stoop, kneel, or squat on an occasional basis
  • Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis
  • Stand and walk on a continuous basis
