Internship Description:
As a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Intern at LGESMI, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team on projects designed to enhance your understanding of the battery production process and the properties of battery materials.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will engage directly with our Product Engineers on projects that encompass:
- Collaboration with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division to enhance existing products and develop new offerings.
- Interaction with team members across various departments, including plant and office personnel, as well as external suppliers and contractors.
- Assessment of current procedures to identify opportunities for improving product design and manufacturability.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Development of procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to facilitate process enhancement.
- Research into new technologies, equipment, and supplies to optimize operations.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, with Junior or Senior standing.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with presentation abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to new tasks and projects.
- Robust problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team to achieve objectives.
