Odessa College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach classes in various aspects of business leadership, management, and office administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the teaching field and demonstrate a willingness to teach various courses, times, locations, and delivery methods as needed.
  • Utilize challenging coursework to help students realize their full potential as learners and provide students with clear expectations, e.g., syllabi, policies, assignment instructions, and graded evaluations.
  • Administer tests that are appropriate to course content, including a comprehensive final exam measuring overall grasp of course objectives.
  • Maintain a learning and assessment climate in the classroom that encourages the free exchange of ideas while defending academic honesty and objectivity.
  • Prepare adequately for class and arrive promptly at class meetings, labs, and other scheduled instructional activities.
  • Deliver material in a clear and understandable manner and address student concerns through posted office hours, timely electronic communication, and other suitable means.
  • Effectively handle routine procedures necessary for the successful operation of the department as delegated by the department chair.
Requirements:
  • An associate degree in business, leadership, management, office administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant technical training, industry certifications, and/or experience in the discipline.
