Faculty Position in Physical Therapy Education

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The successful candidate will join a student-focused DPT program with a record of innovation and excellence in educating entry-level physical therapy practitioners.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach didactic and lab courses in the entry-level DPT curriculum
  • Guide and advise students in academic success and professional development through the entry-level DPT program
  • Demonstrate a commitment toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment
  • Support the mission of the School through teaching, service, and research
  • Support the vision of the University through innovation and collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or earned terminal degree
  • Physical therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in foundational skills, outpatient, inpatient/acute, wound care, and/or pediatric PT practice
  • Interest in contributing to the DPT Clinical Education team
  • Earned terminal degree
  • Three years of experience in an academic role
  • Three years of clinical experience
  • History of scholarly activity
