Restaurant Service Associate

Job Overview:
The role of the Server involves taking customer orders for food and beverages, serving items, preparing detailed checks, and occasionally processing payments. Additional responsibilities may include guiding guests to their tables, serving patrons at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register. The Server is also tasked with verifying the age of customers to ensure compliance with alcohol purchasing regulations. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional service to guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
- Adhere to certification requirements relevant to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handling.
- Familiarize oneself with the restaurant layout and the functions of each position.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
- Provide guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables as necessary.
- Understand the operation of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
- Handle cashiering duties, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
- Execute opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to assigned station rotation.
- Ensure tables and service stations are well-stocked, tidy, and clean.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in a hospitality setting.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification and Food Handlers certification required.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
- Quickly evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
- Capable of working effectively in high-pressure situations.
