Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technology/asset life-cycle, ensuring necessary equipment is ordered and available.
  • Foresee, identify, and resolve system(s) performance problems.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
  • Confirm technology assets are secure and well-maintained in accordance with Marriott International policies and standards.
  • Install, monitor, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cabling and providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Perform adds/moves/changes/deletions, and confirm adequate bandwidth exists and circuits are secured.
  • Support guests and end-use pager cellular phone issues, troubleshoot high-speed Internet access problems, and escalate problems as appropriate.
  • Image desktops, install new software applications, apply patches, map drives to correct server/network, and move/add/changes PCs/peripherals, migrating data when necessary.
  • Perform routine to complex desktop backup as scheduled or directed, provide end-user support to property staff, business center, resolve issues with setup or reset of security passwords, and support email and use of MI network.
  • Create and maintain a secure server environment, perform server backups and routine/non-routine preventative maintenance, and execute disaster recovery plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2-4 years experience in the Information Technology or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related major; 2 years experience or related professional area.
  • Preferred: Previous experience supporting highly complex units, system-related professional certifications desired.
