Position Overview
The Infection Preventionist (IP) plays a crucial role in overseeing the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) within the nursing facility. This position serves as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for staff across various locations, focusing on key areas such as Infection Prevention & Control Activities, Outcome & Process Surveillance, Outbreak Management, and Employee Health.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate new hire orientation by delivering training on infection prevention and control to newly recruited staff.
- Design and implement educational programs addressing identified infection control needs through Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), rounding, center quality measures, or other assessments.
- Develop, execute, monitor, and sustain the IPCP to ensure the quality of patient care concerning the investigation, control, and prevention of infections and communicable diseases within the nursing facility.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate staff on evening and night shifts.

Additional Information
- Position Type: Full Time
- Pay Target: $90,000 - $93,600 per year
