Forensic Clinician

GATEWAYS HOSPITAL & MENTAL HEALTH CENTER is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Clinician - Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide forensically focused individual and group therapy to adult forensic populations
- Conduct home visits, crisis intervention, and case management services as needed
- Document all services provided within 24 hours of delivery
- Participate in all meetings and supervision activities
- Assist with other projects as indicated by the Program Director or Program Coordinator
- Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited university
- Licensed or license eligible in California
- Working knowledge of mental status examinations and current diagnostic manual
- Knowledge of psychiatric mental health theories and practices
- Ability to function as both primary therapist and member of multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Ability to accurately observe and document client behaviors and treatment sessions
- Ability to handle encounters with clients who may be unstable, angry, hostile, agitated, or intoxicated
- Crisis intervention skills for assessing and de-escalating aggressive/assaultive behavior
- Excellent writing skills and ability to utilize feedback effectively
- Computer skills, including ability to learn Electronic Records Program and other company computer programs
- Competitive salary range of $88,600.00 to $95,200.00 per year
- Flexible work schedule (9/80)
