Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax consulting and compliance services to hundreds of funds with U.S. and foreign reporting requirements
  • Review and prepare yearly tax filings for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Funds, and Funds' general partners and investment managers
  • Perform security analysis and calculate various Fund tax adjustments
  • Review and prepare complex partner tax allocations
  • Assist Fund Administration business on resolving day-to-day tax issues
  • Communicate with federal and state tax authorities, as needed
  • Research tax treatment of complex financial instruments and corporate actions of Funds
  • Assist in the tax planning for Funds, including structuring new Funds and optimizing existing Fund's tax strategies

Requirements:

  • Master's in Taxation preferred
  • CPA eligibility
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with strong tax compliance and research background
  • Strong knowledge of partnership tax accounting rules (with a focus on hedge funds)
  • Team player and a commitment to high-quality, detailed work
  • Ability to deal with clients and possess a good "executive presence"
  • Self-starter with the ability to deal with multiple priorities
