The client is looking for a Project Manager to implement a new enterprise system. This project involves high visibility and significant complexity, making it a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.

The duties of the Project Manager will include:

  • Daily interaction with stakeholders, project team members, and staff.
  • Attendance at virtual and in-person project meetings daily.
  • Management of project performance metrics and recording of data.
  • Adherence to requirements of Project Management Standard.
  • Coordination with contractor project management team for all aspects of project performance.
  • Work in conjunction with members of the project team.
  • Facilitate communication between contractor PM team and staff.
  • Oversee coordination of project calendar.
  • Conduct briefings on project status to internal and external audiences, including the Oversight Committee.

The required education and experience for this position are as follows:

  • Active Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Documented risk management experience.
  • Successful completion of a Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth of Virginia project of $5M or more, or completion of a non-COV project with a value greater than $10M as PM of record.
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarization with the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
