The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for executing inspection tasks in line with defined quality protocols, engineering standards, and procedural guidelines to ensure that products adhere to specified criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough incoming, in-process, and final dimensional and visual inspections of materials and assemblies to assess compliance.
- Utilize measuring tools effectively, including the ability to read and interpret tape measures.
- Document inspection outcomes electronically to provide a clear record of product evaluation, whether accepted or rejected.
- Manage nonconforming products according to established operational instructions and quality system protocols.
- Interpret engineering blueprints and customer specifications accurately.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to engineering requirements.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with experience in inspecting mechanical, electrical, and structural assemblies or installations.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work on-site and accommodate overtime as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with pneumatic pressure or leak testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC-code is advantageous.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Mandatory experience in calibrating inspection and testing equipment, with 2-3 years in a relevant role.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is preferred.
