Manufacturing Systems Specialist

As a Manufacturing Systems Specialist at American StaffCorp Job Board, you will oversee the technical aspects of developing, establishing, testing, and improving manufacturing systems and methods. This includes automation and improvement of processing equipment, material handling equipment, tooling, fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment. You will ensure that standard operating procedures are in place and remain relevant to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.
You will confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. You will evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. You will also confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
You will apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. You will ensure equipment maintenance tasks and schedules meet manufacturer's recommendations. You will analyze labor cost and plan workflow, staffing, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency and identify and optimize bottlenecks.
You will ensure that metrics for efficiency and productivity are accurate and drive improvement. You will assess capacity and required resources to meet customer demand. You will identify and analyze process and design improvements to reduce cost and lead time. You will ensure that manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.
You will recommend new policies or procedures as necessary to ensure improved products or services. You will conduct training and assessments as directed. You will document current and ideal practices and use post-completion audits to assure compliance of improvements. 3D CAD design through commissioning of tooling & fixtures is a key aspect of this role.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. You must be able to work cooperatively with others, deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. You must be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment.
