Loan Operations Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Loan Operations Support Specialist to enhance our Loan Operations team. Under the guidance of the Loan Operations Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the precision of all loan entries into our core system. This includes generating and analyzing necessary reports to facilitate data verification. The individual will also act as a secondary point of contact for investigating and resolving loan transaction discrepancies, while assisting the loan input specialist in maintaining our digital documentation system.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of all new loan entries, utilizing loan documentation and various reports to confirm accurate placement within the core operating system, ensuring all system activities are well-documented.
- Documentation Management: Collaborate with the Loan Input Specialist to guarantee that all loan documents are properly stored in our digital imaging system.
- Report Analysis: Scrutinize daily loan maintenance reports for accuracy, ensuring timely reviews are conducted with the necessary documentation to support any maintenance changes.
- Insurance Review: Assist the Escrow Specialist in evaluating loan insurance declaration pages to verify adequate coverage for collateral associated with the loan, including scanning these documents into the digital system as required.
- Backup Support: Serve as a backup for the Loan Input Specialist, proficiently handling the input of various loan types, including Mortgage, Consumer, and Commercial loans, when necessary.
- Customer Service: Address miscellaneous inquiries from customers as part of the Loan Servicing team.
- Departmental Coverage: Provide support for other departmental responsibilities as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in banking and/or lending operations, with a broad understanding of the lending process. Experience in loan servicing is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, characterized by the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, a friendly demeanor, and a professional approach that fosters respect and understanding.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of making complex decisions with minimal supervision.
- Effective team player who accepts and provides guidance positively.
- Proficient in computer systems, including loan processing software for tracking and maintaining loan information.
